Motswari Private Game Reserve
Motswari, located in the 15,000 hectare Timbavati Nature Reserve, which has an open boundary with the Kruger National Park offers an exclusive small lodge feel. With space for only 30 guests you'll never feel crowded out and the lodge is set within what can only be described as a pristine African wilderness area, providing a oasis of calm in an environment at one with the natural world around.
There are 15 luxurious en-suite chalets, each with air-conditioning and superb views out into the bush. The chalets are furnished to a very high standard in a sympathetic style to the nature world, incorpoerating many natural features.
At Motswari you will find no spas or gyms, instead guests are invited to soak up the serenity that comes from exploring the wonderfully diverse living ecosystem in which they are surrounded.
Acitivities
Morning and evening game drives in open Land Rovers with professional field guides and trackers. On returning to the lodge you'll enjoy a sumptious breakfast followed by the option for a mid-morning bush walk with your ranger (an excellent way to experience the bush and discover animals and plants you will miss from the Land Rover).
Pre-lunch talks on safari subjects - wildlife, natural history etc.
It's possibly at Motswari to arrange an 'Overnight Walking Safari' with the lodges experienced guides.
Arrange to sleep out in the romantic 'Giraffe’s Nest Hide'. Wake up to the sound of the birds and an African sunrise.
Children
At Motswari Private Game Reserve children aged 6 years and over are very welcome. Children must however be 6 years of age or over for game drives, 12 years of age and over for bush walks and 18 years of age or over for 'Night Walking Safaris'.
