Overview

Each of the 17 bedrooms have private bathrooms and their own individual design and character, The rooms have wonderful views of the grounds and of course the surrounding mountains.

Room facilities include flatscreen televisions with DVD player (on request), personal safe, cd player, radio, iron/ironing board.

Dining Experience

Albert and Michel Roux Jr at Inverlochy Castle. Dining at 'Albert and Michel Roux Jr at Inverlochy Castle' is a culinary experience to savour, with the legendary father and son taking the helm of the kitchen and offering the finest dishes using local produce.

Dining is in any of the castles three dining rooms, each decorated with period and elaborate furniture presented as gifts to Inverlochy Castle from the King of Norway, creating a unique experience in unrivalled surroundings. A light lunch is served along with dinner and afternoon tea. The menu features modern British cuisine with French influences which is internationally recognised by all major guides. The castle's restaurant has been awarded AA 3 Red Rosettes.

The dress code for gentlemen for dinner in the restaurant is a jacket.

Fishing and Boating

Fishing can be enjoyed on Loch Na Marag in the Castle grounds or alternatively, Sandgrouse Travel & Expeditions can arrange to hire a ghillie who will accompany you. With a ghillie you will be able to go further afield with a boat on a loch and fish for salmon or trout.

Loch Garry has some of the best Wild Brown Trout fishing to be found anywhere in Scotland.

Deep water trolling, spinning and bait fishing on these lochs is from a fully kitted Orkney 520 accompanied by the ghillie at a cost of £155.00 to £195.00 per day. All the specialised tackle required is supplied.

Kinloch Hourn provides the hotel with some outstanding sea fishing for Thorneback Ray, Pollock, Skate, Wrasse, Dogfish, Gernard, Cod, Conger and in season good Mackerel. Sea fishing sessions on an 18ft. Plymouth Pilot, including all tackle can be arranged.

Tuition in fly casting and fishing can be arranged depending upon fishing location. Fishing for Trout and Salmon is available on the upper River Garry on a day ticket basis, the quality of fishing is dependant on water levels.

Inverlochy Castle Hotel is perfectly situated amongst mountain and glen, yet only three miles from Fort William town centre on the A82 road from Glasgow to Inverness. An alternative road from Edinburgh or Perth is the A9 via Dalwhinnie.

International arrivals from the US, Canada and Europe arrive directly into Glasgow and Edinburgh in the summer, with UK connections landing at all Scottish airports including Inverness and Aberdeen.
