Ardifur Estate

Situated a mile west of the oldest, continuously inhabited castle in Scotland, Ardifuir occupies the westerly approach to Loch Crinan and the ancient kingdom of Dalriada.

Described by one journalist as “supremely isolated”, Ardifuir offers exceptional accommodation and celebrated cuisine.

Whether you use Ardifuir as a base for her wide range of marine and terrestrial activities or simply choose to come and relax in an environment of peace and unspoilt beauty, then Ardifuir has something to offer you.

The guest rooms here are situated around a central courtyard and offer a high level of modern and comfortable accommodation, heavily flavoured with our Scottish heritage.

Guests dine in the main farm house and take advantage of our large, traditional lounge with all the comforts of home.

Ardifuir sits in the south west corner of Poltalloch, a 5,000-acre, family run private estate.

While most of the northern part of the estate is professionally accepted as one of Scotland’s richest archaeological landscapes, the southern boundary has 5-miles of spectacular coastline.

The estate is incredibly diverse. As a working farm, a deer forest with a salmon and trout river, an archaeological mecca, an established reared and wild bird shoot and a quiet tourist retreat, we believe there’s plenty to keep even the most disillusioned holiday maker smiling.

Ardifuir caters as much for the devotee of culture, relaxation and scenic beauty as it does for the aficionado of country sports and marine pursuits.
