LUXURY HOLIDAY IN THE CAIRNGORMS
Alder Castle is a little romantic castle with a superb lochside location ideal for winter and summer holidays in Scotland. Set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands on a private 67,000 acre estate with views in all directions, the 'wee castle' offers something for everyone.
Alder Castle is approached by a private drive along the lochside, the castle is located only 5-kms down the 25km long loch! Despite looking older, the castle was built recently to a very high specification, combining the extravagance of the Victorian era (19th century) with the comforts of the modern world.
We at Sandgrouse Travel & Expeditions particularly love this property as it combines the remoteness of the Scottish Highlands on the edge of the Cairngorms National park, with easy access to the rest of Scotland. Situated just five kilometers from the A9, and only an hour’s easy drive to Perth, Inverness, Fort William or Grantown-on-Spey from here you can explore an amazing amount of Scotland's top attractions.
With helicopter landing site nearby, the property is extremely well placed from which to explore the whole of Scotland with a Sandgrouse chopper. Visit the West Coast, Hebridean Islands and much more! Or simply strike out locally with your Land Rover (choose from any model, speak to your travel planner for more details on our complimentary Land Rovers).
