This morning you will wake up in your city centre hotel. After a traditional Scottish Breakfast, something we recommend to try, you can head out again to continue your exploration and discovery of one of the world's most special cities.

Today we recommend joining a city tour, we recommend Mary King's Close on the royal mile. Below the Royal Mile lies a hidden world of ancient streets and alleyways that date back hundreds of years. The stories and tales from this era of Edinburgh are exciting and provide an amazing understanding to the history of the great city.

Now you may wish to see one of the city's Festival shows today. Tickets can be bought easily at the 'Fringe Office' on the Royal Mile. This evening we recommend you dining at The Witchery which is at the top of The Royal Mile. We are able to book a table for you should you wish.

(Below is a photo of the interior of The Witchery).

After another excellent Scottish Breakfast you will check-out of your Edinburgh hotel. Waiting outside will be your hire car. This will be your transport now until your arrival in Glasgow later this week. Leaving Edinburgh via signs for M90 and Perth you will head towards the Forth Road Bridge. Here now stands three impressive feats of engineering including both the iconic and romantic Forth Railway Bridge built in the 'Victorian' era and the brand new Queensferry Crossing bridge. Before crossing the Forth Road Bridge we recommend a short detour down into the small historic village of South Queensferry for an opportunity to take some amazing photos.

Once back on the road you will head north up to Perthshire. Perthshire is one of Scotland's most delightful counties. Split between rolling farmland and rugged mountains, Perthshire is a nature lovers' paradise. At the first roundabout in Perth, take a short detour towards Stirling for Gleneagles Hotel only 11 miles away. Here we recommend you to take lunch in one of the great restaurants. Gleneagles Hotel has a rich history stretching back almost 100 years and is a name synonomous with luxury in Scotland, and of course, Golf. Gleneagles played host to the G7 summit in 2005 and more recently the Ryder Cup golf tournament in 2014.

After lunch head north via the road to Dunkeld through some of your first Scottish Highland scenary. This winding road will show you the very beginnings of Scotland's great mountains. Keep a look out for Red deer and other wildlife. Once at Dunkeld follow directions to your luxury accommodation for an late afternoon check-in.

Tonight you will be able to enjoy the Relais & Chateau food before sitting by the fire.

Today you will wake up in stunning Scottish countryside. After a sumptuous breakfast it is time to regroup before heading north along one of Scotland's most incredible stretches of road. You will be following the old military road (build on the order of General Wade) through the iconic Glenshee. The A93 twists through the glen all the way up to one of Scotland's best known and loved ski resorts before dropping down to the town of Braemar. Not far from here the Queen and her family will be in residence at Balmoral Castle. Unfortunately the castle will not be open whilst the Royals are 'in residence' so we have instead arranged for you a hugely interesting Royal distillery tour at one of the local and historic distilleries. Here you will enjoy a private tour with a French speaking guide including a tasting session afterwards of two of the distilleries finest creations.

This afternoon you are free to enjoy exploring the area, perhaps taking a nice walk along one of the glens, exploring Breamar and Ballater more or head backwards Perthshire retracing steps through the majestic Glenshee.

This evening expect more fine dining at the wonderful Kinloch House Hotel.

This morning you will check-out of Kinloch House Hotel and head the short distance to the romantic and picturesque Highland town of Pitlochry. Here take a stroll through the High Street and enjoy the feeling of being in such a beautiful, charming location. After a stroll around the town we suggest strongly that you visit the ancient and historic Blair Atholl Castle. Blair Atholl Castle is one of the finest examples of Scottish castle there is. The historical, self-guided walk through tour of this castle is captivating. Outside you will find some stunning gardens to match and if you are lucky a lone piper will be playing by the cannons. Scotland at it's best!

Once you have enjoyed your tour of this most romantic of ancient and grand castles, it is time to drive the short distance to the famous House of Bruar, 'The Home of Country Clothing'. The House of Bruar is the best place to find a suitable souvenir or keepsake from Scotland. Here you will find a luxury shopping experience with VIP welcome and greeting. Enjoy a glass of champagne with some nibbles before a personal shopping assistant shows you to the area of the stores that most appeal to you. Discover Harris Tweed in all its glory, traditional and contemporary artwork for sale, fishing, hunting and shooting accessories and clothing, famous brands and fine artisan foods sourced locally and throughout Scotland. Take lunch in the foodhall before heading south.

You will now head south via the M9 past Stirling. On the journey south you will pass by Stirling Castle on your left. The castle, which sits high on a small mountain looking across the floodplains below, is one of Scotland's most visited. This is Scotland's second largest castle and surrounded in great history including many battles. Continuing on your journey look out for the 'Kelpies', a modern art installation featuring two gigantic horses heads (you cannot miss them!).

You will be following directions now to your Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park accommodation. We have selected for you a 5-star hotel on the banks of the loch itself. Check-in and admire the loch views from your traditionally decorated, luxury Scottish rooms. Cameron House Hotel will prove to be a superb base from which to enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland for the next day. Enjoy a delicous dinner before retiring to a very comfortable bed for the evening.

This morning enjoy a fantastic breakfast overlooking the loch. With luck the weather will be good and ideas shall start to flow for what to enjoy together today. Loch Lomond even has a sea-plane if you wish to arrange a scenic flight from the loch around the local mountains. This gives a unique perspective of the area and is something we recommend. Should you not have a head for heights, how about a walk in the glorious countryside or alternatively a boat trip on the loch.

Alternatively you may wish to enjoy the incredible hotel spa, pools and just relax by the loch.

Locally you will find some excellent restaurants which offer a wide range of food but particularly specialise in fine Scottish cuisine.

This evening enjoy a final night at the hotel with some more delicous food, good wine and a whisky by the fireplace.

This morning you check-out of your lochside hotel and head the short drive into the city of Glasgow. This morning you will be heading towards your city centre accommodation where you will be able to drop off your luggage and grab some refreshment before heading out to one of the most fantastic experiences and exhibitions of Scottish music to be found anywhere in the world. The World Pipe Band Championships are taking place in Glasgow today and you will be able to experience some of the very best Scottish music to be played anywhere in the world as bands from all over the world congregate in this great city to battle out for the title.

Once you have been awed by the sound of the pipes in full force enjoy exploring Glasgow city centre. A city with a different feel and culture to that of Edinburgh. Glasgow has some of the best restaurants in Scotland and we recommend finding a Scottish restaurant whilst here. Much of the produce is fresh from the West Coast seas due to the city's close proximity.

Tonight you will head back to your city centre hotel for your final night before tomorrows early morning private transfer to the airport. We hope that you have fallen in love with Scotland, its people and culture.
