Today sees you wake up in beautiful and exciting Edinburgh. After enjoying a traditional Scottish breakfast at The Balmoral you will collect your Land Rover Defender 110 vehicle outside the hotel. Driving north to your rendez-vous you will collect your three beautiful classic sports cars, a red Morgan 4/4, a blue Triumph TR6 and a blue Austin Healey Sprite. These charming classics will be the backbone of your touring itinerary through the Scottish Highlands for the next few days.

Once you have familiarised yourself with the classics it will be time to roll out heading north.  You will be pushing up to Glamis Castle in Angus for a tour around this magnificent castle. Glamis Castle is steeped in history and is one of Scotland's most beautiful. We recommend enjoying the castle and grounds before making your way up to Glenshee for an early check-in to the fabulous Dalmunzie Castle. Dalmunzie Castle sits in Glenshee and is a stones through away from one of Scotland's best known ski-stations (in the winter). Why not take the cars our for an evening drive up this famous route to Glenshee Ski Station, the road is a real driving road and you will surely love the majestic mountain landscapes cloaked in purple heather.

Today you will be able to enjoy exploring north of Dalmunzie Castle. Taking the cars from the hotel, head north through Glenshee, following the road to Braemar. Close to Braemar is located Balmoral Castle, where the Queen and the Royal family traditionally holiday each summer, unfortnately the castle is closed during August for this very reason however we still recommend visiting the charming village of Braemar on your routing, as well as Ballater.

You will be heading for a whisky making distillery today, Royal Lochnagar is a small distillery but the tour here is insightful and fascinating. The distillery was once visited by Queen Victoria and has ever since been 'Royal' Lochnagar. Take a lunch in Ballater or Braemar and enjoy a combination of twisting roads and some time outside in the mountains.

Braemar is the scene each of September of one of the largest Highland Games in Scotland.

Today you will wake up in the grandeur of the Scottish Higlands and the beautiful surrounds at Dalmunzie Castle. The day is yours to enjoy exploring, taking the classic cars and your Land Rover Defender for a real day of adventure out on the roads of the Highlands.

We recommend enjoying a cooked breakfast before taking a drive west on the A924 to Pitlochry. Pitlochry is a charming Victorian built Scottish town with a romance that is hard to find elsewhere. The main street is filled with quaint shops, cafes and galleries, take your time enjoying a walk here before pushing north to the real desinations of the day.

Blair Atholl Castle, is a must visit whilst you are in the area. The castle has been home to the Dukes of Atholl for several hundreds of years, and is one of Scotland's most beautiful and fascinating castles to visit. Here you can enjoy learning about the important role the family and Dukes paid in the part in creating the Scotland we know today. The Duke of Atholl is also the only man in Europe to have a private army!

Once you have enjoyed Blair Atholl Castle, take a drive north to the small village of Bruar. Here you will discover The House of Bruar, a luxury shopping experience awaits. The House of Bruar has been known for sometime in Scotland and the UK as 'the home of country clothing' and here you will find traditional country and Scottish clothing, tartans, tweeds and many beautiful arts and crafts. The food is also locally sourced, artisinal and delicous. We recommend you take lunch here today.

This afternoon, you are free to enjoy exploring the area further. A little way north on the A9, you will find Dalwhinnie Distillery, one of our favourite Highland distilleries and one with a great tour. Stop off here for a tour of the distillery and learn all about how this world famous spirit is produced, along with the complexities of the flavours.

Tonight you will head back south to Pitlochry, before taking an old road west to the remote village of Kinloch Rannoch. Here you will find your luxury hotel, Dunalistair Hotel & Suites.

Accommodation: Dunalistair Hotel & Suites x5 Superior Rooms on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Rate.

The Morgan

The original 4/4 (which stands for 4 wheels and 4 cylinders) dates back to 1936 and has the longest production run of any car model in the world.

The Morgan is now the only British owned and built sports car left and is still being hand built!

Our latest Morgan is fitted with a lively 1800cc engine, it’s a two seater with a five speed gearbox, simple controls and very easy to drive.

We can supply a MOGBOX for luggage if touring soft holdalls are best.

The Morgan is from a bygone era we can only read about; drive the Morgan through the highlands of Scotland and the magic of the 1930's will come alive.

The Triumph

The TR6 was in production for only eight years.

It is the last true British built sports car with a separate chassis and body tub.

This TR6 was first registered in 1975. An original British specification it is fitted the fuel injected straight six 2500cc engine, a manual gearbox and overdrive. This car has been extensively restored and looks fabulous with its walnut dash, leather seats and mohair hood, finished in the rare French Blue. There is good luggage space. This car is easy to drive and makes a great noise when going for an open top blast through the glens.

The Austin Healey Sprite

One of the last 500 built, this Sprite is lots of fun and could not be easier to drive.

This 1971 car has been extensively modified to make touring even more comfortable, fitted with a performance 1275cc engine, a 5 speed gearbox to assist with easy cruising, and uprated suspension to improve the handling. Lots of smiles per mile.
