Newly Launched: ULTION PRIVÉ by Sandgrouse Travel & Expeditions. Scotland’s Ultimate Sporting Journeys
Unlike many cities around the world Cape Town’s a small city, so you immediately feel more relaxed here. It is easy to get around with short 15 minute transfers you can pretty much be at most of the major sites from wherever you are, even if you want to stay “out of town” you can be back at the waterfront for your sunset cruise in a jiffy.
You’ll find the locals have a relaxed and friendly, laid back demeanour. They know there are better things to life than being glued to your office chair, like sipping sundowner drinks by the palm tree lined beach in Camps Bay.
From a tourist's perspective the list of things to get to grips with is endless; great shopping, utterly delicious and contemporary food, locally produced fine wines (which just keep improving year on year) and a budding craft ale scene, historical quarters of the city complete with captivating stories and famous figures associated to them, brilliant markets selling all sorts of useful (and not so useful) items, wonderful museums for all the family to enjoy and an array of activities and excursions that can be lined up!
Why not Paraglide from Lions Head and land on the beach between sunbathers, what about taking a Shark Cage Diving trip and diving with Great White Sharks the most fearsome of predators, or perhaps just a gentle cable car trip up Table Mountain, surely one of the most iconic mountains in the world? Each excursion or experience you have here has so much depth to it - you just wouldn’t expect all this from one place but Cape Town truly offers the traveller rich rewards.

Climbing to the top of Mount Newtontoppen is an experience that few people on earth are ever given the opportunity to enjoy.
This is one of those experiences that will stay with you for the rest of your life. If the weather conditions are right you may even be able to enjoy lunch on the summit, looking north across what seems like all of Spitsbergen's true Arctic wilderness.
